Our client, one of the world’s leading provider of professional legal services, is looking for an experienced Mobility professional to join their London office.
Role: Global Mobility Manager based London [MPI-01158]
Scope: To lead international secondments and transfers and/or ad hoc mobility cases as required for international client and office to office secondments.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to colleagues and build capability within own team
- Assist in further developing a centre of excellence for international mobility issues
- Provide day to day operational assistance and leadership to the advisors and/or assistants
- Identify and share knowledge across HR to facilitate continuous improvement
- Assist the Head of IM in mobility process review and budget submission
- Create and maintain international secondment tracking and provide relevant MI
- Build relationships and credibility with key partners and staff in all offices
- Establish commercial relationships with external providers to obtain immigration advice
- Co-manage all external vendor reviews and vendor management
- Ensure that the Firm is immigration and regulatory compliant
- Communicate and where possible provide solutions for relevant legislative changes
- Provide HR colleagues with the information needed to manage secondment queries
- Provide input into secondment cost projections
- Provide advice as necessary on all aspects of secondment policy and process
- Support and promote the various mobility policies and change management processes
- Managing cases (primarily Partner and senior associate/management moves)
- Leading and implementing IM projects
Experience and Education
- Tertiary qualifications in related discipline
- Previous experience managing global mobility cases and operations
- Prior knowledge of secondment processes including experience of immigration/visa requirement and providing relocation advice
- Strong internal client service focus relationship management skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across all levels
- Demonstrated commercial acumen
- Ability to influence without the need for direct authority
- Strong leadership capability
- Experience of supplier management and sourcing
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Flexible, adaptable and able to cope with change
Salary: Commensurate with experience
