Our client, a London based charity with responsibility for an historic complex of multipurpose buildings, is now seeking an experienced Property Manager to join their team on a full time basis.

Role: Head of Property, based London [MPI-01167]

Scope:  To ensure that the Charity delivers a high standard of property management service with attention to the collection of rental income, service charges, stakeholder communications, and asset maintenance, managing landlord expenditure accordingly.

Duties & Responsibilities include:
•    Oversee the development and successful delivery of the strategic property objectives
•    Manage all property advisors/suppliers and re-negotiate current service agreements to ensure the best service at the best price
•    Build strong relationships with all residential and commercial suppliers and advisors
•    Keep up-to-date with changes in the property market, notably in legislation and compliance
•    Manage lease transactions and negotiations, whether directly or indirectly
•    Develop clear KPIs to measure the success and sustainability of the property portfolio
•    Ensure delivery of projects to specification, on time and on budget by motivating and managing key personnel
•    Oversee the leasing and rent review strategy and marketing of vacant space to maximise benefit
•    Work closely with relevant parties to ensure high quality tenants are attracted to the estate
•    Participate in business planning and in risk management and reporting, and similar activities
•    Develop and build effective relationships with relevant planning authorities
•    Support the preparation of the annual property budget, ensuring plans are in place to increase cost effectiveness
•    Liaise with tenants, Estates team and external contractors to ensure high standard maintenance

Skills & Experience
•    At least 10 years’ experience within the property industry; commercial experience is essential
•    Relevant commercial knowledge and track record across a range of operational and commercial site and property matters
•    In-depth knowledge of commercial and residential tenancy and lettings legislation and regulations
•    Good understanding of a business planning process, as well as financial and risk management
•    Strong leader and people manager with the ability to manage outsourced business processes
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders both internally and externally including Boards and Committee structures
•    Strong analytical skills and the ability to write and present meaningful reports
•    A pro-active problem-solver committed and tenacious in delivering ever-better outcomes
•    Strong organisational skills
•    Good IT skills, especially with Excel spreadsheets, as well as Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

The successful candidate will be required to attend occasional evening meetings as part of the role.

Salary:  £70k – £80k commensurate with experience
